- Maximum length: 40 lines
- Entries should be as a Word document.
- All types of stories are welcome (excluding Children’s and Young Adult Fiction).
- Entry Fee: £5.00 (Discount for multiple enteries)

Fiction Judge : Writer and Coach
Helen Cox is a Yorkshire-born novelist and poet with an MA in creative writing from the University of York St. John. Helen edited her own independent film magazine for five years and has penned four non-fiction books. Her first two novels were published by HarperCollins in 2016. She currently writes about a crime-solving librarian for Quercus Books. More information can be found at helencoxbooks.com
Terms and Conditions:
The submission guidelines are as follows:
- Poets may enter poetry on any topic of their choosing as long as it isn’t discriminatory and doesn’t promote hate speech in any way.
- Any poem submitted must be fewer than 40 lines.
- We accept entries from any country but the work must be written in English.
- Submitted poems must be previously unpublished.
- Poets may enter the competition as many times as they wish but must pay the entrance fee for each poem submitted.
- The deadline for entries is Thursday 31st October, 2023.
- All poets will be notified about the status of their submission by November/December 2023.
- Please use font size 12 and submit entries in a word document.
- We regret that we cannot enter into discussion or offer feedback on poetry that is not shortlisted.
